What notation does the graphing calculator understand?

Standard math notation: + - * / ^ for arithmetic and powers, parentheses for grouping, and sqrt(), abs(), sin(), cos(), tan(), log(), ln(), exp() for common functions. Use x as the variable — e.g. 2x^2 - 3x + 1.

Can I plot more than one function at a time?

Yes. Add as many functions as you like — each gets its own color, so you can compare them on the same grid, for example to see where two lines cross.

Is it free to use?

Why does a curve like 1/x have a gap in it?

That gap is an asymptote — the function is undefined at x = 0, so the grapher breaks the line rather than drawing a false connection across it.
